Spending my weekends at the Three Barons' Renaissance Faire in Anchorage (June 1st-2nd, 8th-9th)

Last weekend I spent my time reading tarot cards, watching festivities, flirting with men (and a woman) in kilts, and even making an order for a formal chain for my beloved Wolfy. Her formal chaining is coming up!

This coming weekend is the Fairy Tale weekend. I'll be traipsing about and reading cards dressed as the adorably seductive Little Red Riding Hood while my knight in dark armor, Wolfy, will be wenching women of the Red Court and harking louder than any other person at the faire.

Also tomorrow is the Community Yard Sale and Lemonade 4 Love stand for Pride week! All the while, we are still preparing for Northern Exposure G4 the following weekend! So much excitement, I can't contain myself!

Northern Exposure


Northern Exposure is a week long, kick ass kink flavored event full of education, parties, meals, shows and vendors! All hosted in a private venue for only 130 Alaskans. More than 30 classes and workshops are be taught by educators from all over North America.

Gather Friday morning for a catered registration brunch, wander our kinky vendor market, enjoy two night time parties, midnight snacks, brown bag lunches, and finish the weekend off with the Northern Exposure Wrap-up and Award Dinner Show, plus all of the classes in between!

Celebrating International Ms. Leather 2013

Last night, April 27th, House Phryxus went to The Raven in Anchorage and celebrated with other members of the community our very own Sarha Shaubach winning International Ms. Leather 2013.

My heart is black and blue for this woman! She will be traveling all over the US, Canada, and even Berlin and Amsterdam with her title and experiencing all this kinky world has to offer all while representing Alaska and Leather Women!

The celebration included gifts being made to Sarha for her actions and leather love as well as aid for her travel fund. Gifts included a pair of leather pants worn all over the US by our own community boot black, International Community Boot Black 2010, RedWarrior. Sarha was also awarded the Golgi Apparatus "Dirty Dick" Award from Sir Phryxus who received it last at the Shitty Sunday Show.
We also all enjoyed a celebratory cake, conversation and RedWarrior's boot blacking skills.

RedWarrior was the first to condition and polish up by very first leather vest last night. The experience was luxurious and sensual and smelled soooo fucking good!
She also polished up Sir Phryxus' boots...while he was wearing a kilt...traditionally ^_~
His traditional/regimental kilt wearing also resulted in a number of celebrants 'kilt-checking' him. He said at one point he felt like the center of a jerk-off circle. I am also proud to say that a previous Mr. Alaska Leather (2001) kilt-checked my husband...thoroughly! He asked Sir what I would say if I were to walk by and see this, and Sir, knowing me so well, said I would probably giggle and keep walking.

My little sister, Devious Kitty, won the raffle taking place and her reward was a leather-covered, wooden paddle that I was honored to have the first whack's on her bottom with. It was a lot of fun, to say the least.

Fetish Ball 2013

Last night, March 30th, the members of House Phryxus attended Fetish Ball at Mad Myrna's in Anchorage. The ball was held for charity - the Four A's food bank in Anchorage received all of the proceeds for the event.

The event featured performers of various kink scenes including blood cupping, partial rope suspension, impact play, and needle play.

The energy at the event was high, the DJ played some fantastic music keeping dance music to one part of the club and some darker or Goth music to the other. Everyone I spoke to seemed to be having a blast and had at least one scene they couldn't stop talking about or marveling over.

I was surprised at how many people we knew turned out at the event. We haven't been to a large event in Anchorage for a while now and it was felt in that as soon as I walked through the door (after standing in line for almost an hour) I was enthusiastically glomped by several people in a row, which was welcome as I was freezing, haha.

Sir happily was able to play with our friend RubberDog. I love seeing RubberDog in a scene in general - no one makes noises like he does! I love watching Sir really get into the groove of a scene. Top space is something I have yet to experience but I don't mind living voyeuristically through my Dom for now.

My only 2 complaints on the whole evening:
The bartender does not know how to make an Orgasm (he gave me a long island ice tea, ew)
and I think it would have been nice if it was more clear that anyone receiving any sort of kink play had to sign a waiver. Sir and PunkyPup were playing in a designated scene with a friend's single tail to get a feel for it and one of the event workers stopped the scene just as Pup was slipping into sub-space and really messed with her mood and mindset for the rest of the night.

PunkyPup attended Fetish Ball in 2012 and said that this year had a much bigger turn out. We heard that the money raised would be a large sum for the food bank, which everyone in the community can be proud of.

FoxFinder Party

February 9th private play party hosted by FoxFinder Productions for those attending the blood play and rope play studies with Jim Duval and PhoenixB was a fantastic get-together were the students of the class could give it ago what they had learned earlier that day, or see what they learned in action during a play session.

Sir, Punky Pup, and myself were not students at these classes so, unfortunately, I cannot give any sort of account at how they went. We, instead, were aids to Sarha and FoxFinder (hosts of the party) and helped set-up play equipment, make baked goods, and clean up. For me, just helping make the baked goods (cookies, cake, muffins, crumb-cake) was a lot of fun…but I’m odd like that…plus, I was already full from nibbling on everything by the time everyone arrived, lol.

There were around 30 people in attendance. The cabins where the party was hosted were a favorite of some of the attendees as they were the same used for the party hosting Lee Harrington back in December.
The party was DJ’d by AMC Entertainment. The music was a favorite of many of the attendees and Sir and I particularly loved the Goth them of most of the music played. The music set the stage perfectly for the play involved as well as allowed for people to hang out and talk on one side of the room without interfering with the play on the other side of the room. I really hope that music is utilized at later parties because of these benefits.

The dungeon equipment available varied from St. Andrew’s Cross to spanking benches to suspension rack, to a whipping post and, of course, simple chairs and a futon that was part of the cabin furnishings. I had the pleasure of witnessing multiple impact scenes, needle play, hook-pulling involving labia, fisting, and plastic-wrap mummification (and that’s just what I saw while running around talking to people and helping out).

I did participate in one scene with Sir Phryxus. We did knife-play on the horse bench in which Sir stripped me of my fish-nets. I don’t often participate in knife-play and I haven’t been able to truly submit at a play part for some time (usually due to too much going on around me), so the scene was very strong for me.
Not really sure what I’m gonna do with the torn up fishnets now, seems a shame to toss them…Maybe an art project…

During the party I also did four tarot readings, which is neither here nor there as far as BDSM is concerned but I had a lot of fun doing them and I hope those that I read for enjoyed them.

Punky Pup thought the party was great. She loved that it was a smaller crowd than some of the parties we’ve attended and this allowed for more comfortable play. She too loved that there was music playing and felt that this made the party more fun.
Sir Phryxus also greatly enjoyed himself and the only thing he said he wished could have been different is that it could have lasted longer.

Anchorage AK Munch

Went to the Anchorage Munch…well, it was actually a Coffee since it was held at Barnes & Noble. I was a little overwhelmed at first because it was easily three times or more bigger than the last munch we went to but I was told that this is the most that anyones seen show up in a long time and it could be due to a play party coming up and everyone wants to be remembered so they can go.

Despite the size, everyone was super nice. Both Sir and I felt very welcome and everyone we spoke to was very interesting.

The bulk of the time we spent sitting with one of the event coordinators who did a run down of the rules – which were very basic and common sense like don’t touch other peoples toys, no alcohol, don’t be a douche sort of things.

I’m actually really glad they make a point of meeting everyone before they allow them at a play party. It makes me feel a lot safer knowing that everyone has had some form of screening and knows the rules. I also like that there will be 3 photographers and they will take a picture if you ask – this prevents pictures of people who are more private from being leaked.

I still have to talk to the group leaders about blogging about the party or any upcoming events. I feel like I should have an immediate disclaimer – I am Soooo Blogging This! – but even I, in my excitement, am smart enough to know not to describe people or give out any names when it’s not wanted.

Benefits Show without the benefits...

Last night Sir phryxus and I went to a benefits show a Fuzzy Holes that was being held for the family of Siryn who died recently. The bands that played included Nightfalls and The Mad Divine.
I'll say right now that though I;m a large fan of the idea of benefits shows, communities coming together to help the family who has lost someone, that's great, I am not a fan of going to them nor am I a fan of the music played.

I went last night because Sir told me I had to...and I came up with a t-shirt idea because of it...
You know those shirt that say "I'd Rather Be Golfing" or the nerdy ones that say "I'd Rather Be Raiding"? well after the morning I had practicing my Domme side online I came up with "I'd Rather Be Pissing Down My Sub's Throat"...I sent it to Synn, he agrees I should have that shirt lol.

I got a lap dance (actually I got 2 because it was 2 for 1 and Sir was working the lights) from dancer Midnight who is adorable. She ended off by kissing my cheek and leaving a big red lipstick mark on it lol.
This would have made my night and let me go home with at least a sense that I had a good time...but...

2 women who were there with their husbands/boyfriends were there, presumably because it was a benefits show for someone they knew or something...one of the older men had been watching me get a lap dance and even the dancer, Midnight, was squicked out by him. He goes and sits with his presumably wife, and suddenly the three women at the table are doing something I have sadly seen often...
Women who go to strip clubs fall into 2 categories, in my opinion.
1 are women who are there to just enjoy it. Even if they aren't lesbian or bi they're still having fun just hanging out and maybe teasing their boyfriend or whatever, its no big deal because they know the dancers are just working.
2 are women who come to the strip club for whatever reason, and spend the whole time thinking they are better than every girl they see because they are not willing to take their clothes off in public. When they see a guy get a dance, they see it as cheating or a weakness and when they see a girl get a dance it pisses them off.

These three women that pissed me off....fall into the second category. They talked about me for the entirety of the Nightfalls segment, me and another girl who got a lap dance. I distinctly heard the word skank, and some other dirty looks and words were passed.
It pissed me off...so by the time Nightfalls was over and Sir was done working, I was ready to go. He wanted to have another beer and relax so I went and got a soda to cool off...and got hit on at the bar...which pissed Sir off, not because I'm not allowed to receive compliments but because the guy assumed that I was a dancer. Sigh you can kind of see a trend here.

So we left but didn't want to go home...so Sir called this girl we've been talking to for a while and asked if she wanted to hang out. We agreed, nothing big, just grab some coffee. I hadn't hung out with her in a while and have an uber crush on her...she's gorgeous! I spend a 45 minute car ride thinking about how I didn't dress up, I'm in a long sleeve t-shirt and jeans, a hat and no make up. At least I showered and shaved and ironically wearing some of my sexiest underwear...
We get to her town and need directions from the exit to her house...we called like 20 times over the next 45 minutes...nothing. I left 2 messages and a couple text messages...nothing...we got stood up...

Went home, feeling depressed, had sex, and Sir, I think partially to cheer me up, joined IMVU. So I showed him around and then passed out after giving out rain checks to the mistresses who approached me on there.
