I have returned to my blog, re-read some of the posts, looked at my life now, and seen a number of changes in House Phryxus and with me.
I was tempted, as I re-read some past posts, to go back and edit out names of relationships that are no longer a part of my life. Make a clean slate of things as it were. The temptation was strong just like so many others who have loved and lost and wish they could erase the markings even after the ache in our hearts is gone. Much like a tattoo...this would require work.
I weighed things out and in the end I decided not to erase those names or delete those images here. Doing so would not eliminate the open space their absence has created. By switching names like PunkyPup (Pup) and Wolfy, who I am not longer with, to "my ex" or "my old girlfriend"...this only makes for more work and awkwardness in my life.
Erasing their names would also negate the lessons learned and impact they have had on me. By being in a relationship with all of my exes, not just those mentioned here, I have learned about myself, about my desires and boundaries, about where I want to be and who I want to be with. Considering that, I wouldn't change a thing about what has happened. By implementing this decision here, I hope that this blog will also grow, progress and evolve much like its writer.

Censorship Sucks
As many of you may know, Blogger has recently sent out a message to it's bloggers with adult content:

I could make House Phryxus a website, sadly the domain name House Phryxus .com is owned by my ex-girlfriend and I seriously doubt she'd give it back to me since we haven't spoken in over a month.
Also, that is a huge endeavor that is not free.
Another option is to move to a kink-friendly blog source that allows ads. Theses are few and far between and require a huge overhaul of the blog. I'm not saying the house blog isn't worth it but I currently do not have the time nor does any other member of House. If you want to volunteer your time for this, let me know, we will work something out in floggings.
My response to all of this, for now, is to simply take down the ads and keep writing. I hope you will keep reading. This does change my content in that I will no longer be doing free reviews for companies that require there be an ad for their company on my blog to send me a toy or book. I understand where they are coming from but can sadly not comply. Other than that, there will be no other content changes.

Ye Olde Kinky Knights and Wild Wenches
Spending my weekends at the Three Barons' Renaissance Faire in Anchorage (June 1st-2nd, 8th-9th)
Last weekend I spent my time reading tarot cards, watching festivities, flirting with men (and a woman) in kilts, and even making an order for a formal chain for my beloved Wolfy. Her formal chaining is coming up!
This coming weekend is the Fairy Tale weekend. I'll be traipsing about and reading cards dressed as the adorably seductive Little Red Riding Hood while my knight in dark armor, Wolfy, will be wenching women of the Red Court and harking louder than any other person at the faire.
Also tomorrow is the Community Yard Sale and Lemonade 4 Love stand for Pride week! All the while, we are still preparing for Northern Exposure G4 the following weekend! So much excitement, I can't contain myself!

Northern Exposure is a week long, kick ass kink flavored event full of education, parties, meals, shows and vendors! All hosted in a private venue for only 130 Alaskans. More than 30 classes and workshops are be taught by educators from all over North America.
Gather Friday morning for a catered registration brunch, wander our kinky vendor market, enjoy two night time parties, midnight snacks, brown bag lunches, and finish the weekend off with the Northern Exposure Wrap-up and Award Dinner Show, plus all of the classes in between!

I was Roofied
Sorry, no witty title today. Plain and Simple, I was roofied.
Last night I went to the Silver Fox Inn with my husband and girlfriend to celebrate the number of nice things that have happened to us this month including my girlfriend passing her Roller Derby assessments from Fresh Meat into Rookie and Sir's getting a job that will pay for him to go to school for certification.
I don't remember much but from what I was told we were having a great time, and I had made the statement that I was having a lot of fun because we hadn't been out on a date in so long.
I hadn't been drinking. I did order a Guiness but after a couple of sips I decided on a ginger ale instead with my burger. I didn't think about my ginger ale being behind me while I watched Sir and Pup play pool. It wasn't an alcoholic drink so I figured naively that no one would bother it.
I was wrong.
I started to feel queasy and a little dizzy. At first I wondered if I had somehow eaten something I was allergic to. Then my tongue began to go numb and I felt out-of-it and tired.
It was the blunt honesty that I have with Sir that saved me. I told him how I felt and he recognized the signs immediately from the days he was a bouncer and an EMT.
The rest of this telling is what was relayed to me as I do not remember.
Once in the car Damon checked my eyes and the dilation was off. He then instructed Pup to keep me awake while he ran to the store and then took us home. He carried me up the 3 flights of stairs to our apartment, changed my clothes, and kept to the arduous task of keeping me awake for the next few hours to ensure that I wouldn't fall asleep and either 1. choke on my own vomit or 2. not be able to wake up...
What I do remember after that is waking up on the couch to Sir and Pup watching over me and telling them how tired I was. I honestly thought I had suffered some sort of allergic reaction to food or food poisoning and taken a benadryl and just didn't remember passing out on the couch. I asked Pup how work went and later learned that me asking and continuing a conversation we'd had 6 hours prior scared her badly.
I told Sir how tired I was and after he made me drink some water, he took me to bed. It wasn't until he woke me up because he was holding me so tight it was uncomfortable that I knew something was very wrong.
Finally he told me I had been roofied and I slowly pieced my night back together.
Sir blamed himself. He said as my husband and Dom he should have been more aware of my safety.
I blamed myself, I should have been smart enough to watch my drink.
My dear friend Leeanne pointed out the falacy in these beliefs. Its the fault of asshole who drugged me. I shouldn't HAVE to watch my drink. I shouldn't HAVE to be worried about being drugged.
I thought as a married woman, with people she was openly and obviously in a relationship with, and not drinking alcohol, I was safe. I wasn't
Sir explained that he had seen it happen many times that some people put drugs in other people's drinks because they think its funny to watch them afterward - not necessarily to date rape them.
I share this story because its scary to know someone is out there doing this to another woman...or man.
The following is an article for teens, but it pertains to all people. I wasn't date-raped but I do sympathize with one of the girls interviewed, Jada, who was drinking water and thought because it wasn't an alcoholic beverage there was no need to watch it.
What it Feels Like to be Drugged
My plea to all people going out - be careful. Watch your drinks, watch your friends - be clear of the warning signs of someone who has been drugged. That's what kept me from getting hurt is the care and awareness of my loved ones.

10 New Years Resolutions for 2013
Happy New Years Everyone!
I hope everyone had a wonderful 2012, survived the various ends of the worlds, learned something new, and had a good time experimenting.
I thought I would share with everyone my Kinky New Years Resolutions. This was inspired by the New Years Resolutions from Em & and Lo.
1. Have more sex.
This sounds silly but in point of fact sex is super healthy! It helps to bond with my romantic partners, burns calories, creates good-mood chemicals in the brain, and it's fun! What's not to like?
If you're looking for ways to improve your sex life try Essence's 10 Sexy New Years Resolutions. There are some great tips in there.
2. Communicate.
I recently read Pagan Polyamory by Raven Kaldera (review coming soon) and I have learned a lot about communication for me and my partners I can't wait to put into play in 2013.
Communication is important for any relationship, no matter if it is is monogamous, D/s, or poly or a combination of any. This may not seem kinky or sexy, but make up sex really isn't as fun as truly enjoying your partners and not trying to kiss away the boo boos of your words.
3. Enjoy more toys.
More toy enjoyment means more reviews which means more blogging fun for 2013. I have a box of sex toys waiting on me and a few toys I've used that I've delayed in writing reviews on for to long. Be ready or 2013 to be riddled with dildos and vibrators, strap ons and floggers, lube and gags and blindfolds. I'm ready, are you?
4. Hand over the pen...er...keyboard.
That's right. I won't be the only one pouring over this blog. It is no longer my baby, though I will still be lead writer. My family has taken over and instead of being Mimi's BDSM Bloggery, this is now the home of House Phryxus. You will be hearing more from Sir Phryxus and other members of our house including PunkyPup, our latest and greatest addition.
5. Go to more events.
More munches, dungeons, parties, beatings, and more.
I want to immerse myself in the dark world of BDSM and really get the enjoyment out of watching and being among others of similar mindset. I love these events and I have got to start making time and budgeting for them.
6. Write an Ebook
I keep saying I'm going to and keep making notes and lists and more for them but keep leaving it all by the wayside and never getting it done. This year, I'm going to write an e-book for this blog. Keep an eye out for it.
7. Get my hands dirty
And before you go there...I mean by being more proactive in the BDSM and Poly community. Volunteer and help with events, see what I can to to get Erotication out there, and educate myself on more aspects of it.
8. More Interviews
I have a list...have had a list for all of 2012 of people to interview and articles to write. I just never got around to it. It's on my blogging priority list and I can't wait to introduce you to some of these fantastic people.
9. Read more
I have a looooong list of books I want to read in 2013. I plan on reviewing all of the ones I do read. There's just so much out there. Some of the books include Dark Moon Rising by Raven Kaldera, the rest of the Wolf Tales series by Kate Douglas, and who knows, maybe I'll trying and figure out the 50 Shades of Gray hype.
10. Experiment with other kinks and fetishes.
I love human buffets and flogging but what about dollification, burlesque dancing, and in-depth tantra? So much to try and only 365 days to do it in.
I hope your new years resolutions are fun and make them something you can stick to in 2013. Don't stress over weight, instead, try and sex diet or simply look into some plus size lingerie that really shows off your assets. There's no point in stressing about what you did or didn't do in 2012, live for the day and plan for the 'morrow with a smile.

A Whisper in the Dark...
Hello my darling readers,
It has been a while - almost over 2 months, since I last posted.
Many of you follow me on Fetlife and know whats going on - Sir Phrxus, PunkyPup and I are taking a short break from the community to work on some personal stuff.
I'm going back to school and Pup and Daddy are working for a guy up here in AK that is starting a new restaurant and so that will be taking up much of their time.
HOWEVER
We will be back soon.
I am taking the time this holiday to revamp, rewrite, renew the blog and I am very excited about the changes we are making to it.
Yes WE
Not only will you still have the articles and reviews by yours truly but I will have a co-blogger and more pictures and what not.
There will be changes to the layout, style, affiliations, and more.
I'm hoping to make the blog easier to navigate and more pleasing to read and look at.
The changes and new posts will be up some time after the new year. No set date yet.

I'm sorry
I'm sorry to you, my loving readers, if you had any problems getting onto the site today due to a message from Google stating the blog might have Malware.
I did a diagnostic and there was no malware. My darling husband and webmaster, with an emphasis on Master,
removed a couple of things that might have caused the problem and now all is well.
I hope no one received any malware of malicious critters on their computers from my site. -gives you Hello Kitty band aids and a kiss to make it all better-

BDSM Abuse Awareness
Many of you may have noticed that I have been passing around a link to an article on forums, chat rooms and more lately.
The article, I never called it rape: the truth about abuse in BDSM by Kitty Stryker, is featured on The Fetishistas online BDSM magazine. It's an open, up front telling of Kitty's experience of abuse in the fetish community and how so many times the community at large turns a blind eye to it even as they claim that BDSM is strongly against abuse and rape and is pro Safe, Sane and Consensual play only.
I have heard many Many MANY accounts of abuse in the scene. Everything from verbal abuse of submissives by a Dom who does not have any claim over them to ignoring a safeword to leaving a submissive after dropping them into sub-space to rape.
This issue has hit home in House Phryxus and we would like to do what we can to raise awareness.
So I'm posting this article everywhere I can think of.
Warning, it may be a trigger to some people who have suffered abuse as some of the tellings boarder descriptive. If you cannot read it because it could trigger, at least pass it on to others and let them know that the BDSM Community can no longer turn a blind eye to abuse.
This is not only to protect potential victims but to also keep the community clean of unnecessary stigma.

Blog Updates
Ok, so if you look to the right ----------->

I have a few new link categories, specifically Kinky Entertainment and Fetish Websites along with my Kinksters and Lolita Blogs.
I mostly wanted to post about the Entertainment part.
Right now there are 2 webcomics on that list: Nic Buxom's Trials of a Dominatrix and Girls with Sling Shots by Danielle Corsetto.
The first one is a little self explanatory. The comic is great and funny and I love the style. I just found it when I was writing my article on fetish jobs and couldn't help but start reading. I haven't gotten far so I don't have much of a review for you, sorry.
The second one is awesome!
The plot is pretty basic, just following the lives of a group of friends.
There's Hazel who is a tactless tomboy-ish aspiring writer who struggles with her career and relationships in a comical way...and may or may not be a complete alcoholi-em-drunk lol.
Then there's Jamie, my favorite ^_^ I was actually turned onto this comic by a friend saying I was like her. Shes a lesbian...er...bi...er...not sure chick lol. But she's bouncy and has great assets that get her free drinks ^_^
Other characters include a librarian dominatrix, a blog junky (and they thought Jamie was like me lol), a talking cactus, a mentally challenges and health challenged and expensive cat called Special K, and so much more! ^_^ Can't you see why I love this comic yet? lol
Oh and I will also be adding the artwork of Shiniez to the list, just hadn't thought about it until I started blogging away lol.

SlaveGirl Figure Boot Camp
I'm going to boot camp.
-giggles at the idea of me in BDUs-
I'm going to get fitter, healthier, cleaner.
I was inspired by ketpgirl aka Cindy and her group on FetLife the Slavegirl Figure Bootcamp.
I have had an interest in the raw food/vegan lifestyle for some time now and I could definitely lose some weight so I talked to Sir and I'm gonna do it!
I made the decision, invited a few local slavegirls to join me and off I go...
I even started a whole new blog to keep myself accountable on.
Check it out and watch as I shed the pounds, the clutter, the negativity and see the fresh new ^_^

Trying to figure out Me
So I am trying to figure out Me. Who I am. All the components that make up Me and how the hell do I work with all of them?

a daughter/daughter-in-law

a person not happy with their weight but who has not done anything about it

a student of herbalism
a student of spirituality
Goals for the coming year
Sort of my new years resolutions
I'd like to be healthier. Not necessarily to loose weight, though that would be nice, but to not have to worry about blood pressure or blood sugar or aches and pains that occur seemingly without reason. I don't want to think about the fact that most of the food I have been eating the last four months doesn't resemble anything natural.
I'd like to be further along in the steps it takes to have my own business including publishing my book.
I'd like to release my fear and get the body modifications I want.
I'd like to be happier with myself.

A Little about Nekomimi
Hai!
I'm Nekomimi or loli depending on where you met me. I am an owned and married sub and I'm into several aspects of the fetish and kinkster lifestyle but this blog focuses on littles, furries, and my erotic fiction.
I plan on posting daily if possible but I don't promise a large post every day. Of course my longer posts will be my fiction.
